Ohai strangers.
I thought I ought to check this site out, so here I am. All norwegian and soon to be 30. Most of my writings are songlyrics, but I guess that's poetry aswell

we do have a miscellaneous forum on the site where you can post lyrics or music and of course you can post them on the critique boards should you want to

Hello people! I came across pigpen while looking for a forum to get feedback on my poetry. I've been writing for years but never sharing my work. A couple days ago I decided to google about poetry categories. I discovered my poetry is prosaic. So here I am, seeking to become more poetic

..or so I fancy.

I've written many poems for the purpose of catharsis, but wish to become more of a proper poet. Just this week I wrote my first sonnet and my first villanelle, in addition to other shorter pieces, all of which I hope don't suck.

Actually, they likely do suck. But hopefully I'll improve with all of your help.

I can't spell, my grammar is awful, my vocabulary is limited, I flunked English, I rely on spell check and I don’t read that much. What am I doing here? Well, I Wrote a poem, a beautiful girl told me it was amazing and now I think I’m Leonard Cohen.

I hope I don't embarrass myself too much. All of the above is true, apart from the Leonard Cohen bit.

That explains why Leonard Cohen was complaining to me the other day that people keep mistaking him for some bloke called Jamie. I swear, that guy is never happy.
