I've been alone so long
I dont know what today is any more
than I know what today is for any more
than I know to tell lady from whore.

l have a poem in mind
to match my despair, only this
and nothing more.

For I don't know Cupid
as much as I know cupidity;
for this I binge in cannabitic stupor
as I hang out with words
and a no-longer blank piece of paper.

But this is day-to-day,
what makes today different
I don't know.

Actually, I do.
It's looking outside
to see the view change
while my viewpoint remains
static; not didactic, not a tactic
to take but masturbation
through escape, but it's late.

Happy fuckin Valentine's Day.
