At least being paranoid makes you pay close attention to details. Which helps with writing. Sometimes details get distorted when the paranoia's in full swing; but luckily we have fiction too.

ADD "helps" with that too, sometimes. I say "helps" because other times I'll miss the completely obvious parts of things.
Once, I had to do a wordsearch, and managed to find seven repeated words that had been hidden and slightly scrambled about forty times. None of the things I was supposed to though, that was a shame.
Won't be seeing you through the field of tears I left behind
