Love turns the water into wine
and causes the bitter to taste sweet
Love turns copper into Gold
Love brings the dead back to life
Love transforms slavery into freedom
in every single mind
Love is the consummation of understanding
Love is the Harlot on the street who thought she was alone
Love is the ultimate creation
Love is your true home

I am usually switched off by the L word but you have some nice lines, for me it stands on it own with just the last three stanza's and the first two spoil it (cliche)
Nice work, Thanks for the read

Love turns copper into Gold
Love brings the dead back to life i can relate a lot to this line.
Love transforms slavery into freedom
in every single mind
Love is the consummation of understanding
Love is the Harlot on the street who thought she was alone solid image, would work better as the opening couplet?
Love is the ultimate creation
Love is your true home
not a half bad love is poem mayflower, (is that from terry pratchett i wonder? ) it feels a little religious though it's probably not meant to. i thought the first couplet could be a more original
thanks for the read.

Nice... I like that that you ventured into a more philosophical take on love, beyond the romantic part. Starting from a religious reference, then an alchemical one (related to science / philosophy), then socio-political; it all ties into mankind's universal search for perfection and truth. In that respect, i have a differing opinion from the others, I'm afraid

. I thought your final couplet was the weakest one; the two lines for me don't complement one another, and idea-wise they brought the least to the poem. Just my take on it, though.
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?
