"In behalf of science"

I eat,
Neither bitter nor sweet,
Boiled tongue
With green peas.
And gloomy ponder:
Or
Mr. Socrates was deeply
Wrong.
Or,
As usual, not enough
Vodka.

Hi, Billy!
Thanks for reading and comment!
Yep! I "play" here on an ancient Greece parable about philosopher Socrates. He was a slave and his master sent him to buy "very sweet and very bitter" meal. Socrates bought a tongue.
Why "vodka"? Probably because it's a great peacemaker for human being? Ha-ha! Or probably not?
Best regards, R.Y.

Oh dear lord, I LOVE this one Big Grin... especially with that practical yet befuddled ending. Fantastic subject, pitch-perfect execution.
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?
