A Gentleman Caller.

You Have to be told.
I stole
the grapes
you left
on the cold shelf.

Which you
were probably
saving
for the midnight film.

Please excuse
my bad manners
they were seedless
my favourites.

I also stole the silver
trinket box
candelabra
and what money
you left lying around.

Thank you.

This is like scatting WCW. It's a nice homage. It's the last stanza that makes it cool.
Oh, and about the poem itself. The line breaks are clean. It's good. No nits from me.

Lmao!

Only ONE line doesn't do it for me-
"my bad manners"
Just seems too typical.

Great WCW offshoot! Do you know that WCW used to live one town over from where I am?
Ya know, until he kind of died.

A hilariously cynical homage to William Carlos Williams, which may, unless I'm giving it too much credit, even be teasing out the depths in his original work. Either way, the central purpose of this poem, it seems, is to be funny and wry, and on that level it's a roaring success. The final thank you is especially good.
