You must mean the rimming, because I hadn't noticed you being a delete offender...
We're not talking about an occasional delete - of course that's ok or we would just disable the feature. It's when every second post is deleted that we get a bit aggro.
It could be worse

A different "deleting posts" question.
I've posted twice in a recent thread. Both times my post has been deleted w/o a reason. Is there one? I'm confused. 71degrees

I had the opportunity to have a beer (or two, maybe three) w/Dave one night. Great poet. This piece reminds me of his work. Would be adequate for miscellaneous but not for mild. Check the guidelines at the top of each forum.

Everyone has to follow the feedback guidelines in the critical forums -- not just new members -- otherwise why would we have them? Why not just have a free-for-all where everyone can tell each other how much they love stuff?

Leanne's idea about forming cliques is a good one. And yes, I know, as poets we should necessarily be
socially under-developed, but I really think we have carried this too far. PigPen is in dire need of a few highly-advanced social constructs. So, should you desire to help remedy this situation, PM me. I'm now accepting applications for membership in an impressively exclusive coterie of kindred spirits, a cabalistic cult of imperious personalities, which I'm calling Inner Clique X. After setting it up, I think our first order of business should be to decide who, besides ourselves, to secretly undermined with false praise and appeals to personal vanity.

But as fellow clique masters, we need to be sure that we aren't being conned into accommodating double dippers. So let's be transparent about who's teaming up with whom. Fellow swine, I have much to offer you, such as the chance to bet on the outcome of last year's Melbourne Cup on YouTube. Ray, on the other hand, can only give you cat food. I'm sending my letter by owl. Please check your rooftops.

did some one say bye again?
![]() can people stop taking things to heart... if you want changes or have a grievance, post what you want in the correct forum, there's no reason for all the bye's and how could you's. we may do nothing about them but at least give it a try ![]()

Personally, I didn't find anything wrong with the recommendation, the problem for me is that it wasn't accompanied by a critique. I would have PMed it or taken the time to critique so that I could post the comment along with it.
Just saying. ![]()

Yah, nobody is saying don't recommend poets. Just if you are posting in any of the critical forums you have to actually comment on the poem or your post will be deleted.

My way is SO much more cliquish as I get to do the rejecting. And now you're "forming" your own clique? -- You're just mad because I rejected your application. ![]() -------- And back on-topic: The problem wasn't referencing a poet, it was not providing any specific comparisons -- a few lines would have been enough. Not doing that is the equivalent of saying you like a poem and not giving the reason why. ( ...and critiques shouldn't contain pompous beer-buddy narratives.)
