this thread is seeing more action than the actual one with the poems...

but something I never thought about - what happens after NaPM? Is it to each his own? Because there's not much scope for critting or having your poems read when everyone's posting like mad

I say that if you're shitting out 30 poems in 30 days, some ff them are going to be real stinkers. Go through and polish some of the floaters, and get critique on them????

Exactly. Big Grin

And the chatting here gives a respite from the work, I write pieces of the verse, leave it a bit so I can go back to it a little fresher, 10 minutes needs to be what would otherwise be a week.

And I wouldn't say this thread is getting more action, gotta weight it for quality and I'm loving reading the real threads.

maybe at the end of the month we'll be inspired to write more poetry. maybe milo could do a daily post that we can use to do a poem for the workshop threads?

you know, we could try and base our prompts off of tv shows or something --

Oh well.
I'm pretty sure we all will get to shits eventually, just as much perhaps as them days we touch the stars -- I have a feeling one can write everyday, but even the Great Menses of the Earth had rhythms. The trick is, I guess, following up, editing (or discarding) the completely (or even until the barely) shitty ones once the Month of May arrives, and continuing to strive all yer life, so that the rhythms get smoother and smoother...

but now I wonder: is there Poetic Menopause?

Does it have to be Milo?

What if different people posted prompts, say, weekly?

I'm not allowed to have an opinion yet, since I am too new, Tongue  and Milo's prompts are great, but, couldn't it be spread around some? If people want prompts, that is. Maybe by the end of the month nobody ever wants to see one again. Dodgy

I think we have a couple of those threads running around.

For those who would love to see their ideas for a poem recast by the eclectic there is still room for more prompts even if you are spectating this year.
