Nip pic is watercolor then graphically enhanced. My lungs won't allow the fumes of other mediums these day, so I take what I can get.

I'm no born artist.... far from it. But I love painting and all that, so I like doing mandalas... it's kinda just like coloring, except with acrylics.  Big Grin

And the cranks turn and make boinks. The top one makes sharp, high ones
and the bottom dull, low, ones. The low one also turns the wheel on the right which
goes bonk every few turns. Since it's totally useless it must be art and/or something
young kids find amusing and drive everyone else in the room crazy after about 15 minutes.
(It is much louder than I intended, but that's art for you.)  Smile

P.S. Those mandalas are quite wonderful, post some more. (Definitely art btw.)

Thanks all, glad you enjoyed. I'd def recommend trying making/painting yourself-- they're easy and therapeutic! I would post a couple more if I could upload pics, but since I have to only get the ones that are already on the internet my choices are limited...

hi bena, we're fine with nips specially if it's art nips Big Grin
here's how to show the pics:
Quote:right click on the image, then chose view image info (it has to end in .jpg or .ping) the copy the url.

and post it using İmage quotes like i did with your pic.

I dig the freaky characters in your oils. I could not hang that last one in my house! (that's definitely a compliment)/Chris

Are Mandals some sort of religious depiction of 'The Eye of God'? I am very curious.

I find the juxtaposition of your two pieces quite intriguing JC. I see them as a steampunk treatment and a Meso-American (Aztec perhaps) interpretation of the same symbol and the contrast is exciting.

Nice/Chris

thanks(: and yes, the last one does look a bit like the product of a mental patient's art therapy session and can't really imagine anyone wanting to hang any of them on their wall. Anyway, they are far too big to do anything with, unless the queen decides she has a few walls spare in her palace and buys them, then I suspect they will end up on the fire (:

How much for one of those brilliant window works Mercedes? I am having trouble picking favorites, but the pond and fish rendition is lovely and the bird's eye point of view is quite effective in recreating motion and depth. I want to measure one of west facing windows now! Very cool/Chris
