and so it begins. the tedious exchange of definitions leading to inevitable conflicts resulting in hours of pointless debate and intellectual posturing ultimately coming full circle to leanne’s initial statement of plain and simple fact that if you want to call it art then fill your boots. no one cares. unless it’s any good and then maybe other people might start calling it art too.

well then, you’ve solved the problem. poetry not only can be art but it definitively is art. sorted. i suspect this question will never be raised again, now that you have managed to expertly clarify the matter.

I don't think anyone ever seriously asked this question.  It is, as I pointed out, a concentration in an MFA
