I want a namesake

Be careful what you wish for.

This is a.....threat? Declarative statement? Random cliche? Portending of good things?
Emoticons, Next. Embrace them.

Real writers don't use emoticons, they use English (or Klingon or whatever fit is upon them).
And of greater importance: emoticons poison irony, as ambiguity is its essential ingredient.
So I would classify my remark as a both a declarative statement and an intentional cliché.
