Dear Rina, To remember this night - a preview into the future. with Love, Birdie June 3, 1948
and Rina's library label (my dad's books had those). I wonder what the occasion was.
I love old books and old books with writing in them even more! If you have heard of the 1975 (band) they were named after an inscription found in an old Ginsberg
What band is that?

Oh, you mean The 1975? Nope, didn't know them.
Very Bowie. Didn't keep my eyes closed, pulled up the lyrics. Partly through the second time my eyes closed themselves. Still got it playing, eyes open, still couch dancing. thanks

Well, that was one quiet Sunday here. I've been laughing a lot, just at life in general. I read a lot of the important threads, some of which remain important, some not so much aside from site history. I'm rereading some poems I'm not ready to crit and Ward's Poetry Tips. I missed the second vid, gonna listen now.
Have a good week, you sweethearts.

Laughing is good, I also had a very laughter-filled Sunday. On that note, I pose a challenge for the week ahead: try and laugh a little more than you usually would, even at the mundane - how does that sound?
I'll participate too!

That second one wasn't my cup of tea, they should have titled it Bitter Aftertaste.
"Finding a girl who is equally pretty won't be hard" I'm way past giving that much energy to what's dead without even an ember to blow on.
I'm trying a live concert.

That's the mood I'm in lately, a cat batting around an M&M, hilarious. Dryer ball in a sleeve, rolling. I think hanging around the Pen has lightened my mood. I'll accept your challenge and see if there's a notch above.

Just watched someone blow into an antique whistle. Great sound but something blew into his mouth. Ewww, rolling still.

Good follow up from the white album by you. I'm trying to think of another of the same ilk now.
Spent a fortune on plants and soil the past few days. Spring is here -- kind of

Gave up the veggie garden last year when one bad back became two. I did a farm share because I love how the harvest changes so much from what you're thinking when you plant to what you get an excess of or a just meager sprinkling. And I like the challenge of using mass quantities. But I think this year I'm going to roam the farm stands. Got too much stuff to roam the garage sales but I love the backroads drives.

I'm happy to have a reader enjoying the alliteration. I try, often unsuccessfully, to reign it in but I just love all those slippery sounds.
Ella, your 'rein it in' reminded me of the song I've been listening to on repeat lately. On the way to lectures, during a food shop, or while I'm getting ready. It's by Sam Fender and Olivia Dean. Olivia is currently a national treasure here in the UK, she lights up a lot of the miserable grey skies we're accustomed to. Walk into any cafe or shop over here, and you'll most likely hear one of her songs playing.
I think the message is... don't rein it in - ever! Poets should never!

She flits across my feed sometimes, pretty fabulous Gonna listen to some more now.
But in my experience poets more than anyone need to rein it in sometimes. Just saying.
Listened to the newest, strong pop but this is really dreamy.
