Time well spent

A hairy young lass from St cheaver
Thought that I wouldn’t believe her
I went in for a pet
I might be there yet
Three fingers still stuck in her beaver

A ferryman set for Port Prowth
Was missing his girl from down south
When a beaver passed by
Thought he’s give her a try
But she dove with his knob in her mouth

Samantha's illustrious beaver,
Was ever the over-achiever.
Whenever she'd wail,
It would plump up its tail;
Inviting a tongue to relieve her.

It's Friday here, Pigs.
On Friday I get my pay, sang Fats Domino.
What's the plan for the weekend? I intend to walk the dog and then practice some python.

I'm gonna walk the python and practise some dog.  Confused

Might buy a new tent today, I'm sick of carrying my old heavy two man tent around the mountains. Too old for that shit now. Going to go all slimline and lightweight.

I saw about 15 rainbows yesterday of which about 5 were double rainbows so I wouldn't mind a bit more of that curvy coloured shenanigans today.

Dogs, pythons, tents and rainbow, sounds pretty fine. Yesterday I went to the library with a 2 year old, went food shopping and got a haircut, my work for the week is done. I have never seen more than 2 rainbows in a day, must be magic land.

I work on Fridays  . . .

This weekend I will spend the bulk of this time working on this app I have been creating.  It has dominated most of my weekends for the last 5.  In addition, I will go to my one daughter's house for dinner tonight and then, I will need to do the shopping and cook for the other nights.  Then there is tending to the chickesns.  I should spend some time planning my garden as I am going to be late if I don't get to it but we will see.  Next week is supposed to be gorgeous here.

I woke up hungover. I'll now lumber to the local café and finish some work before class on Monday. Perhaps I'll drink again on Saturday. Then I'm joining a surprise birthday party for a friend. The theme is cars... because he loves cars. I do not love cars. I do not know what to wear. And yes we're university students, not 7-year-olds, regardless of how much it sounds like it.

A cap with any auto logo pasted on it, or if you know what specific brand he likes, that one.
Nah, the 7-years-old probably wouldn't be hung over, you sound just right.

Ah a cap, that's easy, I bet I'll find a Ford cap at the thrift shop.

Good point about the alcoholic 7-year-olds. Hysterical

So we started clearing a small loft area yesterday, laughed til we cried because half the stuff neither of us remembered picking up and then storing. But up there were a bunch of poetry books that survived the great book purge when I needed shelf space. A stack of slim paperbacks, a fat old Oxford Book of American verse and the skinniest hardback Thirty-one Poems by Rainer Maria Rilke with this inscription:
Dear Rina, To remember this night - a preview into the future. with Love, Birdie June 3, 1948
and Rina's library label (my dad's books had those). I wonder what the occasion was.

I love old books and old books with writing in them even more! If you have heard of the 1975 (band) they were named after an inscription found in an old Ginsberg
