Yep, just checked it, I thought you people went to daylight savings the same as Australia, BUT you do it a week earlier so:

From Thursday Sept 22 to Saturday Sept 24 you'll get it at 7pm in New Zealand
From Sunday Sept 25 to Saturday Oct 1 you'll get it at 8pm in New Zealand

And everybody gets it on the same day. And you're only about 7/10 of a day ahead of me.

OK, we don't stand on ceremony here; I've amended the rules to say posthumous submissions are OK as well.

From the official rules:
"24 hours is the suggested goal, but you MUST post your poems either before or after you die*."

*The rules, please note, have always included prenatal submissions, because they've always stipulated: "before you die".

2) we each have 24 hours, from the time the thread is posted, to write and post a poem on point. -- check

from these two premises i cannot get to the "ergo we will all post our poems at the same time."

Yes, I should have said "we will all post our poems at the same PigPen time" because no matter what the local time is,
if we all posted our poem 24 hours from when the topic was posted, we'd end up posting simultaneously.

(Please note this is a rough approximation as I haven't taken relativistic effects into account.)

Here's all the time-stuff anyone except me needs to know:

On Thursday (and the 9 days after that)
these are the times the topic will be posted:

12 am (midnight) on the West Coast of the U.S. <---- Seattle
        2 am in Texas
3 am on the East Coast of U.S.
        8 am in England
        3 pm in the Philippines
        4 pm in Japan
5 pm on East Coast of Australia

7 pm in New Zealand From Thursday Sept 22 to Saturday Sept 24
8 pm in New Zealand From Sunday Sept 25 to Saturday Oct 1

and you have 24 hours from when you get the topic to write your poem and post it.

It's PWoF-Day-Minus-4-Hours until the first topic is posted.

The start times, by the way, were only ever intended to save people
the hassle of having to check to see if the topic had been posted yet.
As we all know from the officious rules:
"Participants must post their poem(s) within 24 hours after the topic
is first posted, or until after their death.

So, as a convenience, I've listed them again under this P.S. button.

On Thursday, September 22 (and the 9 days after that),
these are the times the topic will be posted:

12am (midnight) on the West Coast of the U.S. <---- Seattle
        2am in Texas
3am on the East Coast of U.S.
        8am in England
        3pm in the Philippines
        4pm in Japan
5pm on East Coast of Australia

7pm in New Zealand From Thursday Sept 22 to Saturday Sept 24
8pm in New Zealand From Sunday Sept 25 to Saturday Oct 1

and you have 24 hours from when you the topic or until after your
death, whichever comes first, to write your poem and post it.

        Hopefully, it'll be fun,
Your ever-solicitous team from the Ministry of PWoF Culture.

P.S. @ lizziep and Official Booby of PWoF, Pdeathstar:
How many times do I gotta a tell you? This ain't no contest!

This is a delusional belief, the root cause of which is the insecurity
        created by your massive egos.

(Besides: Your pitiful attempts at worldwide domination are futile,
        I WILL destroy you!)

"Easy" is a relative concept; the basis of its evaluation being dependent
upon each individual participant's degree of lackadaisicalness.

P.S. Don't worry, as I am a participant the degree of difficulty
affects moi   as well... do the numbers.

just because there ain't a contest don't mean I don't want to WIN! I get prizes if I win. I like winning, it's fun.

AND.... my ego isn't massive, it just seems that way from your perspective. your ego is so puny and worthless next to mines it makes mines look massive.... but, nope... just a regular sized ego over here.

Only a person with a bloated ego would make the preposterous statements you've made.
    Massive egos are poison, the waste of a soul, a tool of Satan.  Hope, for you, is a delusion;
you might as well abandon it.
