Hi Busker, have you read your welcome letter? The three workshops for critique are Basic, Mild and Intensive. If you read the important threads of the Basic workshop you'll find some critique tips.
Hello Ella, thanks for clarifying. I thought at first that the names referred to the type of poetry posted in each forum. I don’t like intensive poetry, it’s too emo for me. But now I know better. Thank you.

Hello, I'm new to poetry and looking to get some feedback on the stuff I write. I started writing poetry because I'm interested in writing rap and I thought this would be a good way to develop those skills. I look forward to meeting you all and reading some great poetry!

p.s. My username is read as A.D. Unser

Welome to the site, AD. You might want to take a look at the Poetry Excercise Forum, lots of info on meter and rhyme and opportunity to write using them.

Hello =] umm i wrote my first poem outside of school a few years ago, it was for a contest not many were entering and had decent prizes, so i threw a shot at it.

i have autism, and one of the benefits is in how we think differently than others... like more abstract etc. i saw things oddly as a child, (ok well still do but i learned how to be more normal) and i took one of those things and turned it into a poem, it did well i was proud of it =]

then years later i met someone into poems he saw it encouraged me to write another, and was even more proud of that one, and it was cathartic writing it too. and he helped me improve it.

i want to share it, and write more, and seek help writing more of them... trying to be a poet i'm a huge newbie but i really like what i have so far =] maybe others will like it to? hopefully.

Hi Kaily, welcome! I know quite a few artists who are also autists -- and you're right, seeing the world differently does often lead to some really great ideas. Hopefully here we can help you get your ideas into shape. Please don't take any criticisms personally -- they'll be aimed at the poem, not at you, and (usually) intended to help point out things you can improve.

If you have any questions, just ask. I hope you enjoy the Pig Pen.

haha ty ^_^ I was worried i wouldn't have much to contribute... and most of these i am having a hard time finding something, so i am skipping and concentrating on the ones I can. I am not one to say anything unless i have something important to say. ... and then i have trouble shutting up cuz i haven't inputted anything in so long >_>
