Hello Forum,
I am Young Deuces (one half of the hip-hop group SNYD (Streetz-n-Young Deuces). I came here to have an outlet for one of my other passions, which is poetry & spoken word. This world is fairly new to me, but I plan on putting the same energy into as i did with my music. Please give me all the feedback you desire, I am a true student and would love to perfect this craft.back you desire, I am a true student and would love to perfect this craft.

Hey, welcome to the site! A lot of us want nothing more than to perfect the craft too. So, hopefully we can all get there together. I hope your time here is well spent.
Best, Todd

Wasn't it Bruce Lee who said something like 'perfection is to be aimed at, not acquired'
in any case, welcome!

My name is Dan.
I used to get my poetry fix from the Writers Almanac. Then they canned Garrisons ass and it went poof! So was looking for some poetry forums and here I am. I like short poems that I can absorb before my ADD kicks in.

Hi. I'm a recovering vanity-tier ((poet)) who's been writing prose for a few years now, but I want to start writing things actually worth reading ! I've stalked this site for a while now, and I think I've learnt enough that it's time to start actually participating. I feel like I've far outgrown the sites where people just compliment each other without really thinking - I want to actually improve and everywhere else I've posted my poems has been no help. So, I'm looking forward to being here, because it's the only place I've found that seems to give proper feedback (:

I hope I'm doing this right, but here it goes...
Hi, my name is Elena and I'm an aspiring poet. I have written poetry since Middle School and I am now 24 years old. Turning 25 May 6th.. Guess that means I'm almost 30 ![]() I'd love to see some of everyone's work. It helps for inspiration. I'm not really exciting so I have no clue what to say about myself other than I like pizza and cinnamon sweets. Oh, and I like playing Xbox and acting like a total jerk online just because no one knows who I am ![]()

@EMC, Welcome ~
About the xbox thing... when the social contract is nonexistent, so is the persona. Most people are assholes because existence itself begets intrinsic suffering, and they get to express that without receiving backlash. anonymity ironically reveals true self

Well, I attempted to offer the brush... it took 13 tubes and I had to get a tire-scrubber to even come close to an effective size. I'm now one arm less; I guess he didn't like the idea.
Been wondering if you were still around.
