Yep, it's pretty sick, making children sexual objects. They'll get there soon enough. Let them have childhood - and stop supporting the brands who use and abuse them.

Truly evil marketing strategy . Even the best of men are affected at some level by this kind of shit. (thankfully most of us are evolved enough to dismiss it). But targeting men (or women) where they might be weakest is very sad. I feel sorry for those that make their living this way.

Still, many a well nourished girl is full grown at thirteen, not looking much different than she will at eighteen or twenty-five. Putting industry aside, these girls are part of every community. Are they supposed to wear sacks, maybe burkas? It's not the woman's (or girl's) fault men are drooling. just use your upper head.

if they use 18 or 21 plus year olds we could drool without looking like a pedo. i'm not saying 13 year olds can't model, but if they look like adults just give the models age below. that way many guys won't lust after them that said the real chikd lovers may. just a point. pedophilia is related to people who like kids before they reach they're teens. after that they're probably child molesters or child pornography lovers. personally i do think 13 is too young to model adult clothes when there are plenty of adults who can do the same thing, the reason they use them is for their innocent and vibrant looks, as well as their size

I'm just saying that same girl walks to school and goes to the mall, and the museum. It's not always fun when your body presents as desirable, I'm old but still remember being twelve.

As far as the pic, I don't even think the outfit is inappropriate for her age, there's much worse out there, and some of it's on the disney channel.

I don't they're being exploitive with the picture. The red converse are probably meant to provide contrast and present youth. I think young teen not adult when I see this. It doesn't seem sexually charged to me.

I only used this picture (which seems to have gone away) because it explicitly gave her age. I have seen a lot worse in Calvin Kline adds where an underage girl is half naked and coddling up next to a guy who also is barely wearing anything and is probably ten years older (I wonder if they give him salt peter before the shot?). They are selling lust and innocence to men, and youth to women. Both are related to fear of aging and dying. The fountain of youth has been a recurring theme clear back to Gilgamesh, so that would be at least 6000 years.

Well, looking at the picture, it has the feel of a family basement fashion show. The dress and sneakers are mismatched. As for the 'model,' she looks anorexic to me. She has bad hair, knocked-knees and a fifty year old neck, close to a forty year old face. The legs look youthful. I don't think her looks would sell much, certainly not sexuality for me.
