Just wanted to trow this out and see how it floats. It's a bit of a stab at myselfBig Grin

If I was to write a poem about myself?
It would probably tell me to fuck off!
Ask me if I drank that cup of cop on,
or if I’d let it go cold on the mentalpiece (mantelpiece)
Ha mental piece;
No but most times calm;
(Sometimes) like a box of screws on a dryer, shaky at best.
But why would I write a poem about myself?
That shits boring

I think it's a useful thing to write poems in all kinds of ways, from all kinds of inspirations or stimulus. Epiphanies, things you see or that happen. Moods you invent, or that come when you don't want them.

From music to literature to language: It all lends to a kind of status quo. Religions get upset over some chords, and music that breaks out of music. It corrupts the culture and the civilization.

There's so much cleverness and irony in our culture. And there's so much bad poetry trying to be good poetry or trying to rebel by being bad poetry that it's bad at being bad.

What you did here was experiment, and that's always respectable in my mind. Even if you were just fooling around.

But this is the forum for fun, and I usually don't spend much time in this section. My sense of what's fun is normally discordant anyway.

Rowen: thankyou for the advice and feed back. I have to say I enjoyed the process as much as anyrhing. I have only took up writing a few weeks ago, so it is all experiments for me.
Thanks again for the replySmile

This was clever and amusing. It's really brave of you to experiment a little, it often helps to do so to find your voice and helps with originality.

I like the humor in this, you accomplished this by not trying just by rambling and I like that. Very good job.
