She drapes herself bonelessly:
bikini model sighing
on the bonnet of a ‘Vette
hot and wet
Sliding through the mind
to find
the stimulating node
exploding voyeuristic eyes
and claiming them loudly
as her two dollar prize
Leaving letters in her wake
burning at the stake
her witchery switching
from straw to feather
lace to leather
to lather
to gather
together
a meeting
a meter
a metronome ticking
a mind left unpicking
the stitches
the riches
the cyclonic bitch
whispers in my ear
top gear
is only a shift
a ferris wheel drift
try it and see
My words become hers
She draws each one
through her silver lips
rubbing them against
her vampiric kiss
She sings them to sleep
and lies beside them
coaxing
caressing
and they harden beneath
her gypsy smile
These dreams I have stolen
from lovers and liars
grow into children
who stare at the fires
Erato inspired
and live
forgiving
flaws, falls and stumbles
disparate mumbles
of desolate hearts
The melody starts
the harmony sits by the door
a drink in its hand
its back to the band
a suit made of brushed metaphor
one eye on the poetry whore
who winks as she turns
carelessly
bonelessly
wordlessly

Two-dollar prize is about right. I love the opening, the closing, and how you stuck vampiric kiss into it--as well as the equally brilliant desperate mumbles of desolate hearts.
Great read!

Two dollars might be over-valuing it actually

Worthless crap, this poetry business...

I emailed you the tape. I can't believe you didn't receive it. We have this new software that sends things magically. I will talk to the unicorn department and see if there's a leprechaun issue.
