Internet usage overtakes television watching
#1
For the first time ever, Canadians are spending more time online than they are watching television, according to a new report.

The survey, conducted by Ipsos Reid last fall found that Canadians are spending more than 18 hours a week online, compared to 16.9 hours watching television.

Interestingly, Internet usage and the number of hours watching television have both experienced a rise since last year. Web surfing is up from 14.9 hours last year and television watching rose to 15.8 hours.

Other media, such as newspapers, radio and magazines have all remained relatively stable in the last year.

Yes here also. The only time the tv is turned on is for a movie feed from one off my computers. We do not watch tv programing at all anymore. In fact last month it was on once to view Avatar from my pc. This month it has not be powered on at all.

I don't see a need to convert to DVD anymore myself. The playback from my PC to my flat screen is the same quality as is so it's really a waste of a storage disc for me. My PC monitors are pretty big as well so most of the time, pretty much all of the time I watch on one of them. I do have a satellite dish hooked up though and have a box from it to one of my rigs that I can record shows with and edit out the commercials. LOL, I pay for the feed and do not use it. Hysterical

These stats play a large roll in why ACTA is being pushed so hard in secret. They know that the net is without a doubt going to take over from the main stream media which is owned in whole by the elite.

Best Buy sells them in Canada, at a price below US list.

It is a bit off topic but have you considered a new graphics card instead? Might be better in H/S ?
