"Have you ever thought of going into politics?"
You don't have to be insulting!!!!!!!
How long after picking up the brush, the first masterpiece?
The goal is not to obfuscate that which is clear, but make clear that which isn't.

Krepta3000 said this in a response to RedDog posted on LIVE Radio Worlds'
Temporal Observatory Forum on 08-23-2009.
Here's the entire quote:
"You lie through your teeth you dog! I will put you down with a
bolt of lightning! Kapow! I will discuss this nonsense no further
with you. May you rot in a pit of smelly banana peals."
.
I missed that...what a shame, I only listen to local radio.

I made a sincere attempt to proffer this congeniality,
but your hand was in the way.
Erthona spake: "Being from Texas"
Ah, yes... Texas:
"What we lack in stupidity, we make up for in ignorance."
(I'm currently located in home town of Baytown, TX
about 20 miles east of Houston.)
Erthona spake yet more: "It is not "instant" that should be up for debate,
it is "available". "Instant" is an a priori fact in this poem (not to
mention relative)..."
In the poem, yes. But the questions at the end question (note a priori
action of "question") that assertion implying that they are products
of perception and hence a posteriori.
And morer: "...it is the assumption that said "instants" can be,
or not be "available"."
Many being taken up by the angels of the "Occupy itsy-bitsy periods of
time movement" which, of course, no matter how long they move, will
never get there.
... "Higgs Boson"
I do indeed believe that the Higgs Boson plays dice with the world.
jannygrill (aha zany cowcatcher) exuded: "Hey what are the chances of this?
My friend yesterday told me what Higgs Boson means in relation to that
thingy under the ground where they are making wotsits collide, and today
you talk of it."
Probable this topsy-turvy time dilation has Higgs Boson made.
zany cowcatcher secreted: "I missed that...what a shame, I only listen
to local radio.".
Sorry, I wouldn't have quoted globally if I'd know you only listened locally.
< easy mark >
i was watching the sunset yesterday
and at the time
it seemed quite glorious
but later
(after discovering the Higgs Boson)
i knew i'd been had

Is your title < easy mark > a personal thrust at anyone we know, and if so does it mean 'easy mark' in the sense of his being anybody's or 'easy mark' in the sense of his being a fine fellow with whom everyone gets along? Just asking.
Since I have now had two night's sleep I have forgotten everything I ever knew about Higgs Boson, are they anything like the North American buffalo?

The "easy mark" referred to is the protagonist of the poem (who just
happens to be my metaphorical self).
grannyjill also spake: Since I have now had two night's sleep I have forgotten everything I ever knew

North American buffalo, while very hairy, are much less so than Higgs Bosons.

I think you'll find the Higgs Boson is only hairy on Tuesdays, coincidentally the same day as sentience visits certain parts of Texas. All other days it finds itself bereft of covering, but it's good at the spin.

Yes, I've heard David Cameron is only allowed his wig once a week... I've also heard him being told to sit on something and rotate, no idea what that's all about
Maybe we should ask Ray to send them some of those Texan hamburgers.

Texan hamburgers... ewww, just the thought of food makes me queasy.
(Sorry, still recovering from Boxing Day eating binge.)

Just the thought of food makes me queasy
Yesterday it went down so easy
But, it's coming back
Like a lava attack
Stew-like and smelling all cheesy.

Really? I spent my Boxing Day eating leftover ham -- was yours grilled binge, or pan fried?

I love the English language - and laughed so much about this, enough for my dear one to ask me the reason. He's got no sense of humour (unless there is a punch-line) and walked off saying 'We've got some left-over turkey to get rid of'...missed the point entirely.

There was a giant burger from Texas
That pressured my aortic plexus
It made me quite cringe
(Boxing Day eating binge)
As thoughts of it clumped in a nexus
There was an old codger from Klinge
(The thought of him just makes me cringe)
Boxing Day eating binge
Made his stomach unhinge
Left his face with a nasty grey tinge

Love it!
On Christmas Day we ate in a mess
(One I didn't clear up, I confess)
In torn paper we wallowed
(Some that we swallowed)
But, we managed it never-the-less.
On Christmas Day we ate in a Mess
An Officers' Club I'd say at a guess
But I'd drunk so much punch
I sicked up all my lunch
And somehow found myself in a dress.
And found myself in a state of undress Edit
