		Friends who are engineers
tell what they know for certain
can never work.
Friends who are poets
give life its depth and grandeur ~
beware their bridges.
Friends in politics
are friendliest of all, and
might be tomorrow.

I actually love this, duke. It's very witty and well said.
My only call out which isn't really a problem so much as just a statement of my reaction, is that the first one has an irregular syllable count and the last two are 5-7-5, which makes it seem to me like the first one was counted wrong.
Cue ray to tell me how wrong I am about all things haiku.

You can't know less about haiku/senryu than I

.  Thanks for the comment, was feeling a little attention deficit there between ill-health and traveling.
(And also a bit irregular or just grumpy after my nephew the engineer pointed out why an idea wouldn't work

 .)
