Here I am in a Wasteland of my own construction.
I could blame who I am on some other post-production,
but I know that I stand on the very same land
I poached like a mannequin's introspection.
I touch fingers with a spark to distant foes
and mulch bark into distinct features.
But, who knows how much I impart
will linger from imprint to toes;
I'm an in synch sparkle creature,
and the main feature isn't present
at the moment, and I know,
but at the moment I'm prescient
from the bleachers with my scones
and my precedent teacher watches all alone.

It feels good to feel like I have inspiration again, as well as an outlet that will listen! This was an impromptu poem just so I'm not the comment spammer without any original contribution of my own. Hopefully, after this semester I'll post some original content that doesn't involve a box and blinking cursor. I expect that I'll post some of my old stuff that I feel is competent enough to share in the meantime, but I'm more excited to do new stuff.

if you have lots of old ones, you have a lot of material to be able to make fresh ones
most of mine have been reworked three four or more times.

A very good piece. There are some beautiful expressions which show this to be a promising piece. I hope we see more of you around here.

Verb,
While I'm happy that you're posting on our site, I'd love to see some of your stuff in the serious critique section. If you're looking for a place to sharpen your abilities as a poet and a critic, it's there. It's great to have you!

Yeah, I had pretty much come to the conclusion that the serious critique thread was the one for me. But, I've been super busy with my latest paper, so didn't want to restrict myself while I was familiarizing myself with the site. It's great to be here.
