Whenever they want to reflect the viewpoint
of the general populace in America
the English news always interviews
some woman hick from Alabama,
ranting about baby killers
while wearing a shirt with two stick men
having anal sex, often above a slogan such as
"the butt is for doody" or
"God hates them fags".

Or else they crowd outside the White House
and talk to a man in a lumberjack shirt
who's spelt "moron" wrong on his sign,
and sounds like he might have been conceived
in one of Ann Coulter's nightmares.

While in our motherland they talk
only to sensible types from Shropshire,
while grass waves like a Vatican mass
in the rolling fields which serve as background.

it's doesn't say a lot, it's not in yer face so to speak and it really does
nothing more than compare how the bbc treat interviews in the usa
and the uk. but i wouldn't change a thing. for me it's a really good
observational poem. the juxtapose of the yanks with shropshire and
the sensible type was perfect.
no in depth feedback as such as i can't see anything i wouldn't keep.
some great lines the 4th verse is such an example of some. good image
with the grass and the vatican
many more dotted through out the poem,

I remember someone telling me this poem was "deep". Huh? I don't even express any particular opinion in this. There are only three verses hehe. That made me laugh as I make similar mistakes all the time The moron thing was based on this:

i think we all see poems differently.
though i can't see real depth in this one apart from a keen insight. and a clever observation.
still, there are some who think multiplication is higher maths
