Quickly now!
Right a poem about a liquid
Commercial face
"We're going out of business!
Everything must go you know,
we've really made a difference
in this town and just to show
you our appreciation
We're cutting prices in half,
in half, and in half again!
(laugh)"

Water, water everywhere -
under the earth, in Artesian basins.
Did you know the Nubian aquifer
has water going back to the old stone age?
What would it be like, to drink it?
Would a tectonic fault surface it or sink it?
It's teeming with targidae and bacteriophage,
that ancient and deadly underground river,
inching along. Would the soldiery be racing
to purchase from it biological warfare?

Off Grid
I'm reading a handbook
on survival that profers
a rule of threes.
It says I can survive
three minutes without breathable air
three hours in an extreme environment
of heat or cold
three days without
drinkable water
and three weeks without food.
There's no mention of you.

O Topo Chico
Your crisp mineral kick
is this poet geek’s palate cleanser.
You’re a Monterrey miracle
soda rocked and volcanic
busy minerals lacing my tongue
with legendary bubbles.
No other sparkler but you, Topo Chico
tickles my throat with iron
and sulfur needles.
My hand on your bottle
is like holding an Aztec goddess.
