snow passed (comma?)  ah earth (oh earth would read better)
is July burning
in silence (a period perhaps?)

Interesting. I think you could make it longer, I also find that the imagery was starling especially with the passage "July burning in silence" I think that there is a lack of periods since you should add some, I know some poems don't have that but I think it would be particularly wise to put some. That is my two cents.

I appreciated, as did Poetry in Motion, "earth is July burning in silence." Is global warming an undertone here perhaps? And what is the narrator's emptiness? Are you referring to the dearth of sound before cicadas buzzed? Overall, an intriguing piece.
