Refrigerators are made
to keep things cold-
a job well done,
grapes in the bowl
Knew they were yours
tasted delicious-
this part’s not fun,
I beg your forgiveness

Can't help but wonder if the title came first, preceded by thinking "Grapes of Wrath." Very nice.
Apropos of nothing, ever try freezing (not just refrigerating) seedless grapes? Fabulous when you bite into them (so long as you don't have any sensitive fillings in your teeth).

Hello, lovely poem. I like the wordplay on Grapes of Wrath. I love the way the narrator is only half sorry, like he does feel sort of bad, but would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It reminds me in a pleasant way of "This is Just to Say" by William Carlos Williams. I like the second stanza best, for that is the part that holds the confession as well as the sort of "rubbing it in your face" feel that makes one think the narrator isn't as sorry as he is trying to look.

haha I suppose the poet is as cold as the grapes! This certainly makes me crave some nice cold green grapes. Love it!
