Cheat Day Sonnet

Cheat Day Sonnet

I know,
I know,
I know I can't trust

a frozen lasagna;

it said it served six
and suggested a serving size
so cute I slapped it on a bun
and posted a pic to Facebook.

I wish I could say
I saved some for lunch
but when you see the pic
you'll forgive me.

My God, there's still cabbage rolls
I could defrost - for tomorrow.

"Cheat" is a contraction of "cheap" and "eat[s]," right?

I've noticed that the standard cardboard-box microwave Swedish meatballs serving, though the box remains the same, now contains about 3 1/2 meatballs where it once included as many as five.  Interesting business:  water the product, and ice counts toward net weight more convincingly (but no more honestly) than watering beer.  Though they probably add a few noodles as well...

All hail ramen noodle bricks for their simplicity and integrity!
