Facing The Pain.

Suppose we never spoke,
Were never introduced,
This repulsive lust wouldn't burn in the air,
We could be two strangers at a craft fayre,
Frauding interest, up in a cloud,
For that sort of lust should never be allowed
I'm sure I'd still notice you,
For all I know it would be beneath me to not love you,
I've got to get better,
This sickness is enveloped in the way we are,
I'm signed, sealed and delivered,
We kiss in secret,
We hide it all,
No one can know,
We cannot fall,
And it's weird and strange,
The stars would rearrange,
If one day we could face the light,
Together as one, passion at night,
Nothing would bind it,
But that's all fantasy,
You and me,
Ha, how funny!
You and me will never be.
One more kiss, facing the window pane,
And then I'll be okay to face the rain.

The poem and the picture remind of Noel Coward's classic romance Brief Encounter. A charming little ode to the joys and pains of loveSmile.
"We believe that we invent symbols. The truth is that they invent us; we are their creatures, shaped by their hard, defining edges." - Gene Wolfe

Nice ode to a different (albeit slightly tragic) kind of love story Smile
PS. If you can, try your hand at giving some of the others a bit of feedback. If you already have, thanks, can you do some more?
