Hey everyone! I'm back and looking forward to catching up after being inactive for awhile. I'm wanting to jump back into this community and back into poetry. And I'm Ash for those who have since joined while I was neglecting the Pig Pen. I can't wait to rip everyone's poetry apart.

Hey everyone, nice to meet you all! I'm Bridget. I moderate another writing forum but figured it would be nice to branch out, get some new perspectives on my work, and not have to yell at people for posting lame critiques for a change ... I like how people seem to care about giving and getting good feedback. I'm looking forward to meeting and talking poetry with new people!
Hi Bridget, welcome to the madhouse! We can't kill people for posting lame critiques, but we certainly can ridicule them
PS. Loving your work so far.

i just read you feedback to the [we] poem and must say...thank you for understanding how a workshop works. while some of us aren't too polished in critique we try to do the best we can. leanne is our assassin and milo the hanging judge we use is adept enough with the trapdoor handle.

I think I've done 4-5 thus far. But I'm not sure what reasonable is.

Just wanted to shout out to all the newbies who are giving us such excellent critiques -- you don't need to be an expert to have an opinion, you just need to read it and let the writer know specifically how it affected you. Make suggestions as you like; they should always be received gracefully, even if the writer doesn't agree with you.
So, thank you to everyone who's working so beautifully to make this site a great place to be.
