Excuse me?
In case you haven’t noticed, everyone has feelings.
What exactly is it about “yours,” that make them so much more special?
Oh, yes, I forgot, yours come from your heart.
Pul-leeez.
I guess it matters not,
that the way you put them on the page,
is not worth a day old fart.
Or that it is dull, moan-no-tone-ad nauseam,
lacking insight, originality,
in a word,
a complete bore.

And if you have a hundred sycophants, who fawn all over you,
and tell you that your poem is so very, very good,
Then that’s a fact,
you believe.
Do you really,
think you should?

After-all, reading your drivel is no skin off their nose,
and the last time they said something critical,
they really got hosed,

because you got your feelings hurt!...

But should you one day become concerned,
about the quality of your “poems,”
no longer looking for a rubber stamp,
decide to quit intimidating and creating sycophants,
you could strive to toughen up that skin,
which is now soft and just a little too lean,
and seriously ask yourself…
No, forget it, that won’t happen, we both know it,
for after all, why should you since you are already
A Master Poet!

All characters who are or aren't represented in this poem generally do not equate to any real or fictional characters outside the purview of this "poem", as it were and such and such. Should one feel that a character in the poem is referencing a particular person, alive, or dead: real or fictional, that projection (no matter how accurate), is the sole responsibility of the reader, and cannot be attributed to the fictional character (Erthona) who is the writer of said "poem".
