Spring News

Green colors of spring are monopolizing
the daily landscape,
sending bristling reports of green
throughout the land.

Struck by the sun in luminescent angles
grass blades are striking out
like thimble armies
proclaiming greenness
in all it's chlorophyllous glory.

Honeysuckle flutes were surrounded today
and quietly surrendered to green leaf captivity.

The trees, the hills, the grasses,
the mountains, the bushes and gardens,
everywhere
have all joined forces,

sending a resplendent green message
to all living things.

Hello Poe. I didn't like this at first, but I have a soft spot for spring themes, and now I am reading it almost as a satirical newscaster, it is nicely entertaining. S3 particularly reads like a headline to me. Maybe too many occurrences of the word green though. Thanks for sharing.

Yes it is meant to be read as in the style of a newscaster, and yes, all in fun. The repetitive use of the word "green", is absolutely and positively intentional. Thanks for your attention.
