for me Alzheimer isn't something i'd pull the plug for.
my partner would either have to be in so much pain.
or a vegetative state with no hope of recovery etc.
is they got alzheimers how could you (I) not care for them.

it seems that way
when woud you or anyone else use a veto to say. no, don't plug that plug (if you could)
It's very difficult to say. With these things, especially invloving death, you cannot make everybody happy. For a doctor, who has sworn the Hypocrattic Oath, his job is to save people live's as much as he can. As human beings it pains most of us to see a person in pain. But also as human beings it pains to loose someone that's dear.
If I take it personally then I would try and spend most of the time with my relative before he passed away. But I would try and respect their last wish. It's hard to deal with.
It's also hard to judge. People can unfortunately become suicidal and if they "applied" for Euthanasia (as it were) then it could be a waste of human life (especially bad for the relatives).
Who are we to judge who get's to live and die? And yet don't we all deserve to have a comfortable, painless death?
I would be for Euthanasia but very strictly policed. It is not just up to anyone to decide for a life.
