(Its so tough to find a good lexicophrapher these days)

Because of English language stress patterns it is very difficult to pronounce syllabically with 5 syllables as it forces an additional stress onto either cal or ly which sounds ridiculous when you say it.

How do you pronounce metrically?

Here, I am more apt to say: met-ri-cly! However, MW says it's met-ri-cal-ly.

OK, I will try one, but can you put a Double Dactyl thread in the Poetry Exercise Forum, so we don't high-jack this unusual word one.

logorrhea: log-uh-RI-uh, n an excessive flow of words, prolixity [Gr logos word + roia flow, stream]

There is no real problem with our bowels;
we have no sexually transmitted diseases.
As poets, we suffer from a literal ailment,
our diagnosis is logorrhea.

nudiustertian: adj. – relating to the day before yesterday

We are naked
today, which is really
yesterday’s tomorrow,
but yesterday’s yesterday
was nudiustertian day
and we were fully clothed.

I am not sure what dictionary you use but nudiustertian is an adjective and the definition is "relating to the day before yesterday"

Her clothes made an assertion but they hadn't much to say
As her nudiustertian fashion looked dated yesterday.

Thanks, I copied that from a website, but wouldn't that line stand as is, with the adjective form?

Yesterday's yesterday is the day before yesterday and it is a nudiustrian day.

Yesterday's yesterday is the day before yesterday and therefore it was a nudiustrian day.

nudiustertian: adj. – relating to the day before yesterday

We are naked
today, which is really
yesterday’s tomorrow,
but yesterday’s yesterday
was a nudiustertian kind of day
and we were fully clothed.

woolgathering n: indulgence in idle daydreaming

with no fiber of a poem
