Disdain (Jane Follow-up) (fun sonnet)
#1
This Sunday I asked a girl out. With a sonnet. 'Cause I'm a boss. Here's how it went down Big Grin
(also, I still can't freaking figure out how to indent!)

Disdain

With boldness I advanced upon the thought
of asking her to be my lady friend.
With head held high I carried out the plot
that brought my brittleness to bitter end.
She eyed the sonnet with an easy smile
and lightly laughed a little while. "Cute!
Alas, I liken thee not worth my while --"
and thus resolved my rash and vain pursuit.
Contempt set in, then absolute disdain.
Madness must've drove me to consider,
perhaps a lapse in function of my brain,
thought her worthy of a bodybuilder!

If she's a sour grape then I'm the Fox.
And anyway, I'd bet she munches box.
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings:
Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!
