Once in Berlin a wall came down
Before my very eyes
For years it had surrounded me
And was my whole disguise
Blindly built around myself
Constructed it with my lies
But when the wall came tumbling down
Being there the big surprise
The wall that surrounded me
Forced escape, I'd always run
I could now embrace the things I'd hate
Things I'd always shun
Myself now reunified
My two halves became but one
My whole could now be filled
And my life could have some fun.
Before my very eyes
For years it had surrounded me
And was my whole disguise
Blindly built around myself
Constructed it with my lies
But when the wall came tumbling down
Being there the big surprise
The wall that surrounded me
Forced escape, I'd always run
I could now embrace the things I'd hate
Things I'd always shun
Myself now reunified
My two halves became but one
My whole could now be filled
And my life could have some fun.
