blessing with one hand, damning with the other

used for entertainment

Pretend you like their jokes
Fill their mechanized minds
with phoney compliments
and false promises
Pretend you give two shits love this line

Listen to your bastard boss
thank you for your co-operation
A machine works best are this and the next line need?
when every part is in line

Just play real life and live pretend

the only nit is to remove a couple of small words.

a good rant poem with a lot to like about it.
first off i enjoyed the modern idiom you used. it earths the poem in the now, and adds to the do it by rote mentality the poem's suggesting, until the last line when it feels the procrastinator and possibly the poet has had enough. (jmo)
