As you can probably tell God to me is for the insecure. I sleep just fine knowing this is it.

It's actually the opposite... I'd be more worried if this isn't it, with lord knows what else I have to go through after I die. I'd rather it be over and done with (one go at life is enough for me thanks), but who knows? Maybe there's such a thing as afterlife or reincarnation (i'd hate reincarnation). Either way, it's arrogant for any person to claim to really know how the universe works.

Back to the god thing... it's interesting. If we judge god by his creation (us), then yes, he doesn't seem like a perfect, good god at all. But if we say that it's unfair to judge god by his creation, then that means he's not all-powerful anyway to let his own creations get that far out of hand. So either we have to accept that god is good but not all-powerful, or god is all-powerful but not good??
