favorite period

I'm afraid I don't have a particular period that I favor. While I do like the style and theme of romanticism, it does tend towards excessive idealism. 20th century poems were a little more straightforward and realistic, but I felt that too many of them were either defensive or preachy.

I suppose I'm more of style + theme than era? Although I did have a Keats obsession back in high school.
