You're leaving and it's your choice
inner child gutted by powerlessness
final act of soaring defiance
against the tormentors in your brain.

If you have to leave, stay.
Don't jump out the window
don't hang from the fan
Walk out the door, to your nearest convenience store
buy a pack of the strongest cigarettes you know
enjoy yourself
take the hard way out.

Delightful!  They're not coffin nails... they're hesitation marks, like bullet holes in the ceiling or shallow cuts on the wrist.
