Pancakes as requested...

Today I am giving up purple for Lent.  Can't have whimsical hues unless it's on vestments, and then it's violet, cos that's a more serious colour.  

I would also give up sugar, but if I did that I'd probably feel like giving up coffee, and then the world would not be a safe place anymore.  All those frying pans, free of pancakes for the next 40 days, would make perfectly good weapons.  

I do like non-conformity.  I try to shop there whenever I can, but the cashiers have unusual piercings and one is a duck.

I always liked the purple..ahem, violet...vestments best. If only we could get them in a duck size for the non-conforming clerks. Cheers to accurately purposed fry pans and obscene levels of sugar and caffeine.
