Say "Hi" in this Thread

New to the forum and looking forward to being able to get some honest feedback from the folks on this forum. As much as I love my wife and family, whenever I have them read my poems, I feel like they just love them and can't give much critical feedback.

My current project (because I need goals in order to keep writing) is a group of poems inspired by films. The first list of films (because I'm all about lists too) is all of the winners for Best Picture since 1929 according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Welcome, matey. Feedback from family/friends et. al. is a perennial problem. They don't want to offend you. And we all like having our ears tickled. Therein lies the rub.

My experience so far is that other posters will constructively tell it how it is. And that's good.
