Five Common Mistakes That Novice Poets Make

Reading this makes me terrified to put up the poem I wrote

Well of course you are, who wouldn't be: a mere acolyte poet coming before such an august body of very senior poets who have years of learning poetry under their collective belts, to the point that their authority is gospel. Well it would be if that were so and these august poets weren't a bunch of lunkheads  Regardless, fear is rarely a good justification for doing or not doing something. I would however recommend posting in novice first, posting in serious seems a bit like jumping in the shark tank when your new and have yet to grow a thick skin. It seems no worthwhile growth is totally painless, but that is the process of growing skin and the process of becoming a better poet
