Reading this makes me terrified to put up the poem I wrote

Don't be sad, If you are interested in improving you need a piece to work on. If you thought it was perfect you wouldn't be joining a workshop. Check your spelling and punctuation, make it the best you can by yourself, then post it in Novice. Listen to what people have to say and decide whether any suggestions would help it. All that's required here is to be open to and to give honest critique.

It becomes less scary with time, and definitely, for me, worth it. If you have fun playing with words this site can be a great playground.
