Reynard runs, reynard runs
on horses lords give chase.
The hounds catch scent in undergrowth
and track him to this place.

Back at court with lady Aisley
maids are talking dresses.
Lady Aisley takes a break
to tend her teeth and tresses.

Thinking out loud, the Lady would probably tend her teeth and tresses with a ‘brush.’ Chased foxes go to ground in a hole, but perhaps they seek shelter in the ‘brush’ as well.
