Septolet

Septolet! It's one of my favourite poetic forms, for both its brevity and the creativity it encourages. Basically, it's 2 stanzas, 7 lines, and 14 words. Here are some examples:

Distance


He
quietly whispers:
'Stop walking,please.'

She
persists,
but mutely wishes
he's give chase.

Stretchmarks


Fragments
glued still
have cracks
on display.

There's no fixing
memories
of being broken.

yes, it is.   i find form poetry restrictive. but it helps develop a kind of discipline in your writing. i have one in my old blog. i am going to pull it out and post it here.

the last lines of both are not working for me.
