I want to start posting unusual words, their definitions, and a sentence, or two, on how they could be used in poetry or other written works. Is there room for this type of freeverse on this site?

I don't understand what you mean by freeverse, as what you're mentioning doesn't sound like verse at all.

If you're looking to build a vocab list, and discuss the uses of particular words, I like the idea. There are certainly no rules against it, and it could be posted to one of the discussion boards.

If you want to discuss the finer points and nuance, i.e. tonality, sound, metaphor, metrical properties, common speech figures, connotation, along with definition and etymology and how it all applies to the word's use and how it works or doesn't work in poetry in particular, you could start a thread in poetry discussions.

If not, we have other discussion boards.
