I first came across this form of short poem in a collection by John Ashbery, and thought that they are such fun - just a sentence and an utterly bathetic follow-up! I've been enjoying experimenting with the idea.

Oh yes, I have read John Ashbery. These short forms look like fun! Coincidently, I found an imposter on this site trying to palm off one of John Ashberry's metapoems. That's how I earned my moniker 'Rat Catcher' beneath my watercolor avatar! I'm going to try one of these.
