i think once you allow the victims families to
be involved you're moving away from law and order too much.
let them have their say by all means but let the law do the deed.
what happens if the victims family says, "let them go free" for
instance.

That can not happen, the sentance is manditory death, no exceptions accept that one i stated. Next of kin has the option to carry out the deed in any manner they choose. Great option if you ask me.

sounds good but it would just take a bit more of our humanity away.
i think it should be a standard death.
