Sadly you are quite a long way off the authors intent or meaning in your appreciation of the poem, of course the reading of a poem must by neccesity allow that the interpretation of the poem is then at the comprehension of the reader. So I'm not particularly distressed that about the pirates of the carribean or the long John silver accent - both are quite ammusing actually..I'd be keen to hear a reading done this way.
I'm assuming you did not read the authors note or any of the related comments in some of the discussion boards.
I'll probably not be doing any serious re-writes of this untill after the storm has finally abated.
